The Smithsonian Academy Orchestra will perform a program of Grieg, Bruckner and Dvorak on April 24, 2025, at Drew University in Madison.
Admission is free to the 8 pm concert, in the Drew concert hall at 36 Madison Ave.
Founded in 2024, the Smithsonian Academy Orchestra is a project of the National Museum of American History in Washington, DC, directed by Kenneth Slowik.
Modeled after Frans Brüggen’s Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century, its repertoire ranges from Bach to Schoenberg, performed on period instruments. Hear the orchestra perform works by Grieg, Bruckner, and Dvorak on its April tour with performances in Boston, Great Barrington, New Jersey, and Washington DC!
